WEST NYACK, N.Y. — Sept. 21, 2025 — In a historic move with deep local roots and global star power, Nexus Luxury Collection—backed by Tiger Woods, Justin Timberlake, Ernie Els, and the Tavistock Group—has entered into a high-profile partnership with Manhattan Woods Golf Club in Rockland County. The deal, announced this week, signals a major transformation for the prestigious club and a significant investment in the local economy.
The most surprising element? Michael Strahan, longtime friend of the Koh family, is now part-owner of Manhattan Woods. Strahan’s connection brings more than celebrity appeal—it helped broker the club’s union with Nexus, which specializes in developing world-class residential and golf communities, including the Albany resort in The Bahamas.
“I have a deep appreciation for this place,” Strahan said at the announcement. “When Sean [Koh] approached me about joining, I knew right away Nexus would be the perfect partner.”
Sean Koh, son of original cofounder John Koh, has spent the last decade working to preserve and elevate his family’s legacy. With Nexus now officially on board, the club is poised to become one of the premier private golf destinations in the U.S.. This move could bring significant tourism and hospitality revenue to Rockland County.

Nexus Brings Global Experience to Local Turf
Nexus Luxury Collection is no stranger to high-end development. Its portfolio includes properties in New York, London, the Bahamas, and Palm Beach. The company’s CEO, Christopher Anand, emphasized that the partnership is about more than prestige.
“This is a special place with great heritage,” said Anand. “We intend to elevate Manhattan Woods to the level of the world’s most desired clubs.”
Planned upgrades include a full clubhouse renovation beginning this November and set to reopen by April 2026. Membership fees will increase to $225,000, aligning Manhattan Woods with the region’s most elite clubs.
Also in the works: the development of luxury four-bedroom villas adjacent to the first fairway—subject to planning approval. Iconic clubs like Augusta National inspire the concept and aims to attract year-round members and guests.
Rockland County’s Economic Stakes
While the partnership may seem exclusive, its potential impact on Rockland County is broad. The renovations, increased tourism, and high-net-worth membership could drive economic activity across hospitality, retail, and real estate.
Manhattan Woods, located just 35 minutes from Midtown Manhattan, already draws golf enthusiasts with its Gary Player-designed course and sweeping skyline views. But this new chapter could cement West Nyack as a luxury destination.
Local contractors and service providers are likely to benefit from the planned renovations and construction, and the club’s expanded global membership could increase off-season visits to the region. New general manager Jason Hall, set to arrive this fall, will oversee day-to-day operations and service upgrades.
A Celebrity-Backed Vision with Real-World Impact
Nexus’ shareholders—Tiger Woods, Justin Timberlake, and Ernie Els—are not just investors; they are actively shaping how the brand redefines lifestyle and sport. Through T-Squared Social, their upscale sports bar venture, they’re already blending entertainment with golf culture. That same ethos is expected to influence the events and amenities at Manhattan Woods.
All members of the club will now become Access Global members, gaining perks across the Nexus ecosystem, including private clubs in New York and London, a $5,000 annual lodging credit for Albany, and year-round access to golf and family experiences worldwide.
“This is about creating a global community,” Anand said. “And Rockland County is now part of that story.”

Looking Ahead
As Manhattan Woods prepares for its next phase, the blend of legacy, luxury, and leadership from Nexus is expected to position it as a blueprint for modern private clubs. The deal also marks a turning point for Rockland County—a signal that elite-level investment and development are no longer reserved for Manhattan or the Hamptons.
For local residents, the payoff may come in jobs, economic momentum, and the rising profile of a community already rich in natural beauty.
“Manhattan Woods has always been special,” said Strahan. “Now it’s going to be unforgettable.”
