NANUET, N.Y. — October 16, 2025 — Ben’s Original™ has announced a voluntary recall of select Ready Rice products after discovering the possible presence of small stones in specific batches. The recall includes limited lots of Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice sold across major U.S. retailers, including HEB, Target, Amazon, United Markets, and Piggly Wiggly.

Small Stones Prompt Limited Recall

According to the company, the stones likely originated from the rice farms and could pose a risk of oral or digestive injury if consumed. The affected items were distributed through Associated Grocers, C&S, and Dot Foods between August and September 2025.

This recall affects only specific batches, with “Best By” dates of August 2026. The impacted batch codes are 533ELGRV22, 534ALGRV22, 534AMGRV22, 534BMGRV22, 534DMGRV22, 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22, and 533CMGRV22. Consumers can find the codes printed on the back panel of the package’s bottom seal.

Ben’s Original emphasized that this issue is isolated and does not affect other products under its brand. The company said it acted out of “an abundance of caution” to maintain customer trust and transparency. “We are removing the impacted products from stores and notifying consumers promptly,” the company stated.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses linked to the potentially contaminated rice. Ben’s Original has urged consumers who purchased the recalled items not to eat them. Instead, customers should contact Ben’s Original Consumer Care for guidance on returns and refunds.
