
NEW CITY, N.Y. — Rockland County is stepping up for three families mourning the tragic deaths of local teens in a weekend car crash.
Andrew Pinos, 20, Larry Buestan Quito, 18, and Nuria Fajardo, 14, died early Sunday morning, Sept. 28, after their vehicle veered off N. Little Tor Road in New City and struck a tree. All three were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Clarkstown police.
Donations are pouring in through GoFundMe campaigns to support the victims’ families with funeral expenses. As of Tuesday afternoon, each fundraiser has surpassed $11,000. Nuria Fajardo GoFundMe

Fajardo, the youngest victim, was a freshman at North Rockland High School. Her family described her as selfless, intelligent, and always thinking of others. “She would never fail to make you laugh even in moments where you don’t think you can,” her family wrote.

Visitation for Fajardo is scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Her funeral will follow on Friday, Oct. 3, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the same location.

Buestan Quito, a recent North Rockland High School graduate, had been eager to begin a welding job. His family called him “hardworking and loving.” He leaves behind two younger brothers, Dylan and Matthew.
Buestan’s visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Paz Funeral Home in Haverstraw. Services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Peter’s Church, followed by burial at Mt. Repose Cemetery. Buestan Quito GoFundMe Page.
Visitation for Pinos will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 3–4, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Sniffen-Sagala Funeral Home in Spring Valley. The family has opted to keep his funeral and burial private.
Clarkstown police continue to investigate the crash and are asking witnesses to call 845-639-5800 with any information they may have.
