New York City Beaches
This summer will be quite different in New York City. Beaches will be open but with no lifeguards. Mayor De Blasio is saying he does not want to spend the money to have lifeguards, because that will mean that people be on the beach trying to go in the water and not social distancing. The Mayor also said that there would be no city pools. Cutting the funding for city pools saves the city about $12,000,000, at the same time keeping all of us safe or alive.
