NANUET, N.Y. — A vehicle rolled over multiple times Sunday near Exit 14 southbound on the New York State Thruway, slamming into an electric pole and an exit sign. The violent crash trapped two people inside the car.

Emergency crews from the Nanuet Fire Department quickly responded and extricated the victims. Hatzoloh EMS, Nanuet EMS, Rockland Paramedics, and the New York State Police also rushed to the scene.

The crash forced the closure of the southbound entrance ramp at Exit 14 and created heavy traffic backups throughout the area.

Officials have not released details about the victims’ conditions. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
