MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — Endico Potatoes is recalling its frozen peas and carrots and mixed vegetables over potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination, the company announced.
The affected products were sold under the Endico label in 2.5-pound clear plastic bags. Lot codes include 110625 for peas and carrots and 170625 for mixed vegetables. The products were distributed between July 18 and Aug. 4 to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, and the District of Columbia.
The New York-based company issued the recall after Pennsylvania inspectors found Listeria in samples at a distributor. Distribution has been halted as the FDA and Endico investigate the source.
Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled vegetables. Instead, they should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. The company can be reached at 800-431-1398.
No illnesses have been reported.
Listeria monocytogenes is a dangerous pathogen. It can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in pregnant women, newborns, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may take up to 70 days to appear and include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, headache, and neck stiffness.
Consumers who suspect infection should contact a healthcare provider and mention possible Listeria exposure.

- Peas and Carrots: Lot 110625 | Production: June 11, 2025 | Use by: June 10, 2027
- Mixed Vegetables: Lot 170625 | Production: June 17, 2025 | Use by: June 16, 2027
Due to the long shelf life of frozen vegetables, consumers are encouraged to check their freezers.
