NORTHVALE, NJ — Emmy-winning actress and comedian Kate McKinnon is set to appear at Books & Greetings in Northvale, New Jersey, on Sunday, September 28th at noon to celebrate the release of her debut children’s book, The Millicent Quibb: School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science.

Best known for her work on Saturday Night Live and films like Ghostbusters and Barbie, McKinnon is now turning her comedic talents to the literary world with a wild and whimsical story aimed at young readers. The book, subtitled Secrets of the Purple Pearl, kicks off what promises to be a hilarious and imaginative new series.
The event offers fans a rare chance to meet McKinnon in person, grab a signed copy of The Millicent Quibb, and hear more about the quirky characters and madcap science behind the book. Given McKinnon’s dedicated following, especially among young readers and families, a strong turnout is expected.
Books & Greetings, located at 271 Livingston Street in Northvale, will be hosting the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as space may be limited. For more information, call 201-784-2665.
This is McKinnon’s first foray into children’s literature, but judging by the buzz around the book’s release—and her signature blend of wit and weird—it likely won’t be her last.
