The new coronavirus is Potentially here in the tri-state area. Three patients are currently being tested in New York City. All 3 of those patients recently traveled to China, where more than 360 People have died from the virus. Health officials say those three patients have met the criteria and will be tested for the coronavirus. They had recently been to China, and they were showing symptoms including fever or cough and shortness of breath; now, one of those patients is being treated here at New York-Presbyterian and is said to be in stable condition. Those other two patients are being tested at Bellevue and flushing hospital medical center now the results from the CDC expected to take about two days,11 others in the state have already come back negative now it’s becoming more common to see people wearing masks especially the airports as the deadly koronas virus spreads around the world infecting more than 17,000 people including 11 people in the US.
New Health travel restrictions
New travel restrictions are in place across the country, requiring anyone arriving from China where the novel coronavirus was first detected to undergo additional screening. Newark airport and JFK or on the list of 11 airports being used to test. Health officials stated their preparedness to contain the virus is very high. Over the weekend, both Governor Cuomo and Mayer DeBlasio reiterated the city and state are taking all necessary precautions to respond.
